Introducing The Ingredient List

Algunos de ustedes seguramente ya han leído mis recientes elucubraciones sobre el skincare, las cuales probablemente son menos divertidas que mis experimentos con tonos de sombras, pero a mí me parecen igualmente importantes. Intenté escribir reseñas sobre productos de skincare y me parecieron un reto mayor que el maquillaje. Cuando escribes sobre una sombra, un blush y así, simplemente te refieres a la textura, la duración y que tan complejo es el tono, pero rara vez nos referimos a los ingredientes. Al contrario, en el caso del skincare los ingredientes lo son todo. My otra preocupación es que YMMV, así que lo que funciona para mi piel tal vez no funcione para otras pieles, así que, ¿cuál es el caso de una reseña? Por tal motivo, decidí mejor compartir listas de ingredientes de algunos productos que he probado o de los que tengo muestras, les daré la descripción que da la marca y emitir una opinión a través de la lista de ingredientes. Adicionalmente incluiré el vínculo al análisis de CosDNA. Trataré de escribir con una base semanal, a ver qué tal funciona.

Many of you have already read my recent skincare lucubrations, that aren’t probably as fun as my eye shadow experiments, but I consider them equally important. I was wondering how to do skincare reviews, and I actually find it more challenging than makeup. When writing about makeup, it’s easy to refer to texture, wear time and shade complexity, but we rarely stop at ingredient list. On the opposite, the ingredient list is all about skincare and the least important is the shade or feel. My other concern is that Your Mileage May Vary, so what would be the point of writing my skincare experience if my reader’s skin is totally different? For that reason, I decided to share ingredient lists from skincare items I own or have a sample of, tell you what the brand description of the product is and tell you what it actually seems to do according to the ingredient list. I will also include a link to the CosDNA description. I’ll try to post on these subjects on a weekly basis, let’s see how it works.
